Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Cedar Hill Care Center. He was born August 1, 1933 in Zanesville, a son of the late Donald C. Sr. and Helen Wilson Baird. She was born July 28, 1924 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Clarence and Rachel E. Johnson Hazlett. She was formerly employed by Brockway Glass for 37 years as a packer and retired in 1986. She is survived by nieces Delores Glaneman of Zanesville and Diane Hollandsworth of Iowa and nephews Paul Hazlett of Iowa and Lewis West of Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Ballard, brothers Clarence E.

Gaddis, 86, of Corning, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at his home after a short term illness. He was born June 29, 1927 in Shawnee the son of the late Jake and Tesse Lang Gaddis.

He was retired Railroader, a World War II Veteran, member of the V.F.W., and he was a Golden Eagle. He leaves behind his ten children, Gwenn (Mark) Alexander, Diane Glenaman, Linda Starlin, Chuck Gaddis (Teri), Mary (Rich) Reynolds, Brian Gaddis, Eric Gaddis (Shasta), Joey Klingenberg (Chris), Jimmy Klingenberg and Russell Klingenberg; brother, William (Jackie) Gaddis; 15 grandchildren, numerous greatgrandchildren and others that called him Dad and Grandpa Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gaddis; three brothers and three sisters. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Byesville, OH and retired from United Technologies after many years of service. She is survived by her son Stephen (Brenda) Haren of Byesville, grandchildren Steven Shouldis, Shawn Shouldis, Timothy Haren, Jason Haren, Stephanie Haren; greatgrandchildren Jacob Woods and Brady Haren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leo J. Haren whom passed away May 28, 1989; brothers William Lynn and Richard Lynn; sisters Gladys Sharrer, Mary Ireton and Bernice Lynn. He was born Saturday, January 9, 1926 in Zanesville the son of John P. Bowers and Blanche (Blake) Bowers. He was married on Saturday, June 17, 1950 to Ruth C. (Fattlar) Bowers who preceded him in death on Thursday, July 6, 2006.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and served in the United States Army Air Corps during Tint- i i and helping others was his passion, volunteering his services to the Village of Somerset, Reading Township, and the two Catholic Churches of Somerset. He will be sadly missed by his parents; sister, Karrie Bontrager of Columbus; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Erin Bontrager of Millersport; sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Nic Gaston of Columbus; sister and brother-in-law Kristin and Jay Hill of Columbus. David was a proud uncle and had a special fun-loving relationship with his nieces and nephews.

David is also survived by uncles and aunts: Jerry Spires, Lancaster; Sally and Bob Ahlers, Ashland; Mike Spires, Oakland, Florida; Kathy Spires, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Patti Schwartz, Lancaster; many cousins and special family friend Ann McCarren. Work Terry Joe Newlun TRINWAY: Terry Joe Newlun, 49 of Trinway died unexpectedly Friday, January 31, 2014 in Tuscarawas County as the result of an automobile accident. Terry was born December 23, 1964 in Newark to Gordon Newlun of Etna and Sue (Whiteside) Newlun of Newark. He was a 1984 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and worked for Infinity Oil Company as a truck driver. Terry had previously worked for Schwan's. Terry and his family were friends of the Trinway United Methodist Church.

Terry loved his family deeply, especially his two boys. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, Terry is survived by his wife, Leslie (Mullins) Newlun, whom he married October 2, 1993; two sons, Tom and Dan of the home; three brother, Bill (Jennifer) Newlun of Kevin (Carla) Newlun of Etna, Robert Newlun of four sisters, Vicki (Greg) Clouse of Buckeye Lake; Tammy (Donnie) Dailey of Heath, Cindy Carstens of Etna, and Dixie Walters of Newark. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 in Dresden Cemetery with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating.

Mary received Jesus as her Savior as a young girl, growing into a kind, generous woman who served her family and her Lord with her talents for cooking, sewing, and decorating.

She was the heart of our home. Mary and Pastor Paul served churches in Montana, Washington, Wisconsin, and Ohio for 60 years. He is currently pastor of the Meadow Farm Church west of Zanesville. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by a daughter Christine (Cory) Greene and a son Mark (Miriam); six grandchildren Brandon (Jackie) Ashbrook, Kirsten (Dale) Anson, Jessica (Ryan) Techlin, Caitie (Mark) Paulsen, Cassidy Greene and Coulter Greene. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and three brothers Gene (Barby), Quint (Kate), and Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert and Edwin. A memorial service will be held in the Meadow Farm Church on Sat. Feb. 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m.with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.

Joseph "Joe" E. Taylor GRATIOT Joseph "Joe" E. Taylor, 81, of Gratiot area, passed away at his residence Monday February 3, 2014. He was born December 23, 1932 in Nashport, OH the son of the late George P. and Minnie Katherine Goodin Taylor.

Joe retired as a machine operator for Rockwell International and was a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Lunn Taylor, son, Randy Taylor of Gratiot area; a granddaughter, Shania Taylor who was the light of his life; sister, Pauline Shultz of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and his canine buddy, Taylor. He was preceded in death his parents and brother, Eugene Taylor. Visitation for Joe will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 11:00 AM till time of service at 1:00 PM at Bryan Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave.
