WILLIAM McLANE DANIEL BOTT ALFRED W. COURTS WOODSFIELD Daniel Ray Bott, 40, of Main Street, Powhatan, formerly of Woodsfield, died Monday, April 25, 1994, at his home. He was born July 21, 1953, in Belmont County. He was a loan officer of the Belmont Savings Bank of Bellaire and the branch manager of the Belmont Savings Bank of Powhatan. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woodsfield.

He is survived by his father, Charles D. Bott of Woodsfield; two daughters, Tiffany Bott and Felicity Bott, both of Clarington; one sister, Karen Bott of Ostrander; one aunt and uncle; and several cousins. Mr. Bott was preceded in death by his mother, Corene Gehrig Bott, who died in 1979. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

today at BauerTurner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Woodsfield. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, with the Rev. Ted Austin officiating.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield. JOHN STALLSMITH Obituaries Vital statistics ALFRED W. BILLINGSLEY ZANESVILLE Alfred W. Billingsley, 74, of 3380 Riverside Airport Road, died at 3:21 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 1994, at his residence.

Mr. Billingsley was born May 6, 1919, in Columbus. He was a retired head mechanic and ma maintenance supervisor for Sidwell Brothers. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War I1 and a member of the United Mine Workers and Operating Engineers. Mr.

Billingsley had lived in Zanesville for the past 20 years. Surviving are one daughter, Jean Williams of Arp, Texas; three sons, James Billingsley of Craig, Alaska, and John Billingsley and Jeff Billingsley of Farmington, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several sisters and brothers. Preceding him in death were his parents, James Edward and Goldie Miller Billingsley; and his wife, Dorothy J. Billingsley, who died April 21, 1990. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

RAYMOND McCALL NEW CONCORD E. Raymond McCall, 84, formerly of McCall Lane, New Concord, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, April 25, 1994, at New Concord Nursing Center. Mr. McCall was born Aug.

24, 1909 in New Concord. He was a retired farmer, a former custodian of Westland School, a member of College Drive Presbyterian Church and New Concord Grange. Mr. McCall is survived by two sisters, Margaret German of Columbus and Katharine Knicely of Norwich. He also is survived by a number of nices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Kirke McCall; and two brothers, John McCall and Allen McCall. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at MockMiller Funeral Home, 63 W. Main New Concord. Services will be at 1:30 p.m.

THE TIMES RECORDER Wednesday, April 27, 1994 5A On the record COURTS Common Pleas April 25 Judge Richard Hixson James Kirby, 33, of Shelby Street, was sentenced Monday to one year in prison on each of two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs to run concurrently.

Kirby pleaded guilty March 21 to dealing drugs on Dec. 14 and 17, 1993, said a spokeswoman from Muskingum County Prosecutor's Allen Wolfe's office. Joseph Pride, 25, of Cedar Street, was sentenced to one year in prison on one count of trafficking in marijuana. Pride pleaded guilty April 4. Mark T.

Mitchell, 31, of Bonifield Court, was sentenced to three to 15 years in prison on one count of robbery. Mitchell was charged with reaching into a cash register and taking money at Dairy Mart, West Main Street, on Jan. 23, said the spokeswoman. Kebora Glaze, 29, of Zanesville, was placed on five years probation and ordered to make $2,325 in restitituion to the Muskingum County Department of Human Services. Glaze had a one-year term suspended on charges of grand theft and falsification.

She failed to report income from June 1, 1992, and Jan. 31, 1993, said the spokeswoman. Michelle Wolfe Williamson, 21, of Roseville, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs with a juvenile specification. She committed the offense on Oct. 24 and a presentence investigation (PSI) was ordered.

Tammy Evans, 25, of Darlington Road, pleaded guilty to one count of grand theft and a PSI was ordered. Evans was charged with stealing a purse from Joyce Swope on Feb. 2. Carol Olson, 55, of Newark, pleaded guilty to one count each of grand theft and falsification from Feb. 1 Nov.

11, 1993, A PSI was ordered in the welfare fraud case. Judge Ray G. Miller Amy Jerles, 21, of Riggle Drive, pleaded guilty to one count of theft and a PSI was ordered. Jerles is charged with stealing money from Lazarus Department 1 Store, Colony Square Mall, while an employee there from Nov. 18, 1993, through Feb.

12, 1994. A co-defendant, Jennifer MacClean, has pleaded innocent to similar charges, said the spokeswoman. David A. Johnson, 19, of Zanesville, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs that occurred Dec. 16, 1993, said Wolfe's spokeswoman.

Timothy Stevens, no age given, of Zanesville, was sentenced to one year in prison on one count of receiving stolen property. Stevens pleaded guilty March 2 to having stolen lottery tickets in his possession. The tickets were stolen from Dairy Mart on Pine Street. William Parry, 47, of Creedmore Drive, had his one-year prison term on two counts of trafficking in marijuana suspended and was placed on five years probation. Parry was fined $2,000.

He pleaded guilty March 28. CRIME Zanesville Police April 26 James Birkhimer of Dresden reported a speaker box valued at $190 stolen from a vehicle at Colony Square Mall sometime between 4 and 9:30 a.m. April 2 24. Muskingum Co. Sheriff April 26 Robert Graves of 1456 Adamsville Road reported a window on a camper struck several times with a handgun before April 2.

Albert J. Polizzi of Springfield reported a theft of items from his vehicle while parked at 1825 Adams Lane, University Apartments, No. 114. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. April 24 and 1:25 a.m., April 25.

Scott N. Tom of Main Street, Norwich, reported a briefcase valued at $50 stolen from his residence sometime on April 25. Municipal Court April 26 Judge Howard Zwelling Clyde J. Rogers, 24, of 1239 Musselman Drive, driving while license revoked, expired license plates, no insurance; $315 and costs, 90-day operator's license suspension. James F.

Drake of 3042 Fairway Lane, driving while intoxicated; $350 and costs, three days in jail, operator's license suspended for nine months. Raymond G. Dillon, 19, of 1369 Mapleview Drive, driving while license suspended; $200 and costs, five days in jail, vehicle immobilized for 60 days. Lisa M. Bobb, 18, of 632 Luck driving while license suspended; $200 and costs.

WILLIAM McLANE WOODSFIELD William Clifford McLane, 78, of 229 Berkley Drive, Woodsfield, died early Tuesday morning, April 26, 1994, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born July 10, 1915, in Belmont County. He was a retired florist and former owneroperator of Woodsfield Greenhouse and a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Friendly Class of Woodsfield United Methodist Church, of Lodge in Woodsfield, Kiwanis Club of Woodsfield, Rolling Hills Ruritan Club, the board of directors of Belmont and Monroe AAA, Buckeye Hills R.C.&D and a representative of the Woodsfield Senior Citizens Center. He was also a former member of the Monroe County Park Board, Board of Public Affairs, Woodsfield Village Council, Woodsfield Recreation Board, Monroe County Chamber of Commerce. Mr.

McClane is survived by his wife, Amy Rice McLane of Woodsfield; one son, Allan McLane of Dublin; two daughters, Linda Kay Taylor and Judy Schwall, both of Woodsfield; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret DeLong McLane; two sisters, Mary Opal Reischman and Agnes Telego; and one brother, Bernard DeLong. Spence, 85, of 111 N. Main Summerfield, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 1994, at Good Samaritan Hospice. Born July 30, 1908, near Carlisle, Mr. Spence was a retired employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation, Division 10 in Marietta and attended the former Mount Tabor Methodist Church, Route 1, Summerfield.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth V. Carpenter Spence, whom he married Dec. 20, 1937; one daughter, Kay Elliott of Norwich; three granddaughters; and three step-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Nancy Belle DeVolld Spence; three brothers, Kenneth Spence, Hugo Spence and Frank Spence; and an infant sister, Augusta hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

DANIEL BOTT ZANESVILLE John Robert Stallsmith, 66, of 5755 Melody Lane, Nashport, died at 11:25 p.m. Monday, April 25, 1994, at Good Samaritan Medical Center emergency room. Mr. Stallsmith was born May 21, 1927, in Zanesville. He retired eight years ago as a mould maker for Zanesville Mould Shop.

He was a member of the Glass Blowers Union and a member of American Flint Glass Workers Union. Survivors include two aunts, Eileen McCune of Wadsworth, and Janice Marie Stallsmith of Nashport. Mr. Stallsmith was preceded in death by his parents, John George and Grace Geneva McCune Stallsmith; and one uncle, William S. Stallsmith.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. James Goodrich officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville. Donald J. Atwood, Bush staff member DETROIT (AP) Donald J. Atwood, deputy secretary of defense during the Bush adminitration and a retired vice chairman of General Motors died Sunday after ulcer surgery. He was 69.
