Starkey was born in Man-nington, W. on Oct. 2, 1867, and in 1S93 became associated with the South Bend Oil company of West Virginia. He became mper-intendent of the Mannington-Spen-cer district in 1904 and retired ta 1932. He moved to New Matamoras In 1937 and to Beverly 10 years later.

He was first married to Hattie Ankrom, who died in 1904. In 1906, Woodlawn avenue died at Good Sa maritan hospital Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock following an illness of eight weeks. She had been in the LOW AS hospital four weeks. She was born in Zanesville Aug. 24, ISSa, a daughter of Lewis and he married Lillie Estlach, who sur-j Virginia Kohler Hoffer, She was a lifelong resident of this community.

Her huband, Harry Schaum, died in September, 1941.
