SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 1950 of Interest tO WOMEN Thankoffering Program At U. B. Church The annual Thankoffering Program of the Women's Society of World Service and the Christian Service Guild of the Evangelical United Brethren church will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Earl J.

Bender will preside at the service which has been arranged by Mrs. LaPlante. Following the program a fellowship hour will be held and refreshments will be served by Mrs. M. H.

Secrist and Mrs. Eva DeMonde. The program will include talks by Mrs. Harold Ross and Mrs. A.

T. Nessline on 1 "'Things for Which I Am Most Grateful" and one by Miss Rose Findeiss on "Thankful Living." Mrs. Wilbur Finlaw will sing a solo and prayers will be given by Mrs. H. C.

Friesinger and Mrs. Victor Kitchen. Parish Meeting At St. James Byron B. Pryor of Trinity Episcopal church in Newark, will be the principal speaker at the parish meeting of St.

James Episcopal church in this city Monday evening. Walter R. Davis, key layman of the local church, will be in charge of arrangements. Supper will be served by the Ladies Aid beginning at 6:301 o'clock. The vestry will hold a short meeting following the parish meeting.

MOTHER'S CLUB The Mother's Civic club will meet at the YMCA for luncheon at 12:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Business will be conducted at 1:30 by Mrs. W. D. Burson.

Barbara Dodge Honored With Many Parties A number of parties are being held for Miss Barbara Dodge who will become the bride of Alan Rankin on Saturday, November 18. Thursday night, Mrs.

Mrs. William Schwab of Dresden road and Mrs. Loren Loebell entertained at the former's home. Four tables of bridge were in play. This afternoon, Mrs.

Ronald Bateman and her mother, Mrs. Henry Orth will be hostesses at a luncheon at the Zanesville Country club, and tonight, Mr. and Mrs. James Stubbins will tertain with a couple's party for Miss Dodge and Mr. Rankin.

The bride-elect will be honored Tuesday evening by Mrs. Donald Paisley and Mrs. Robert Rea at the latter's home on North Hazel avenue. The prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

0. L. Rankin of 1330 Hazel avenue will entertain with the rehearsal dinner next Friday evening in the Zanesville Country club. Miss Dodge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Alfred Dodge of 2674 Dresden road, and Mr. Rankin will be married at 3:30 o'clock the afternoon of Nov. 18 in Grace Methodist church. A reception will be given by the bride's parents in the Hotel Rogge following the ceremony. Wedding Today At New Concord Church Miss Suzanne Fitzwater, Columbus, formerly of New Concord, and Richard A.

Iserman of Dayton, will be married at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon in New Concord United Presbyterian church by Dr. Henry S. Evans. A reception will follow in the church parlors. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mrs.

Joseph K. Fitzwater of Columbus and the late Mr. Fitzwater. Mr. Iserman is the son of Mrs.

Mabel Iserman of Wauseon, He is employed by the Selco division of General Motors corporation in Dayton. C. S. Society Plans Soup Supper The Congregational Service society of St. John's Lutheran church will hold a short business meeting at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday evening at the church.

All officers and circle leaders are to attend. That evening from 4:30 until 7 o'clock, the society will sponsor a soup supper at the church. Members and friends are invited. The menu will include homemade vegetable soup, sandwiches, home-made apple pie and coffee. Mrs.

21, at the home of Mrs. Boswell in Licking View. Tisher-Gramlich Vows Exchanged Miss Mary Lou Gramlich and Virgil Tisher were married Saturdap evening, Oct. 7, in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church, Woodsfield.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Dean Gramlich of Woodsfield, and Mr. Tisher is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Wesley Tisher of Hannibal. The bride is a graduate of Beallsville high school and is at; tending the Bustin Beauty school Columbus. Mr. Tisher is a graduate of Hannibal high school and is employed by the National Biscuit company, Columbus.
